First Arrival in Bermuda
Posted on 06. Jun, 2009 by admin in Latest News
The German yacht, Peter von Danzig, took line honours last night by crossing the finish line under sail on 5 July, at 2146 GMT and headed straight into Bermuda. The crew of 12 were delighted with their Atlantic crossing although looked tired and sunburned!
They entered St Georges Harbour, on the east end of Bermuda, at sunset to a warm welcome from members of the St Georges Dinghy Club incuding the Commodore who presented the crew with free tokens for the very welcome showers.
The list of the provisional results overall on corrected time can be seen in the Vessel Positions Update.
