It was truly a pleasure meeting you all and I was honoured to be your LO whislt in Bermuda.

My apologies for not seeing you all on Monday morning. I now consider myself a follower of PVD’s voyages and accomplishments.

I just returned from Dublin and read the great news that you are in the lead. It was a delight to meet the skipper and crew in Boston. I will be cheering you on so that you can be the first into Belfast. I was sorry that I could not see you off from Boston but know you have fans here and hope that our paths cross again.

I can see the Pete von Danzig moored in the Derry Quay from my office window. I think I’d much rather be sitting in the boat than sitting in my office!
